In 1830 richtte hij het <em>\u00c9tablissement g\u00e9ographique de Bruxelles<\/em> op en met de Belgische onafhankelijkheid gooide hij zich meteen op kaarten van Belgi\u00eb. Vanaf 1831 publiceerde hij reeds de eerste kaartbladen van een kaart van Belgi\u00eb gebaseerd op de <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.ngi.be\/nl\/historische-kaarten\/ferrariskaart-van-de-zuidelijke-nederlanden-1771-1778\/\"><em>Carte marchande <\/em>van Ferraris<\/a>: <em>La carte de la Belgique d\u2019apr\u00e8s Ferraris<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Vandermaelen bouwde een uitstekende relatie op met de kersverse Belgische regering en kreeg de opdracht om de grenzen, wegen, waterwegen, spoorwegen en telegraaf in kaart te brengen. Hierbij kreeg hij permissie om kadastrale informatie te verzamelen en gebruiken. Hij publiceerde uiteindelijk twee topografische kaarten: op schaal 1:20.000 in 250 kaartbladen (1846-1854) en op schaal 1:80.000 in 25 kaartbladen (1853). In 1880, 11 jaar na de dood van Vandermaelen, sloot het <em>\u00c9tablissement g\u00e9ographique de Bruxelles<\/em> de deuren. Het grootste deel van de collectie kwam bij Koninklijke Bibliotheek terecht waar het nu nog steeds bewaard wordt.<\/p>\n<h4>Aanbod<\/h4>\n<p>We beschikken over de drie kaartenreeksen van Belgi\u00eb van Vandermaelen:<\/p>\n<p>1. De Belgische kaart op basis van Ferraris op schaal 1:86.400 (ongeveer 70 x 55 cm; al wijkt het formaat in sommige gevallen af)<br \/>\n2. De topografische kaart van Belgi\u00eb op schaal 1:20.000 (ongeveer 79 x 58 cm; al wijkt het formaat in sommige gevallen af)<br \/>\n3. De topografische kaart van Belgi\u00eb op schaal 1:80.000 (Ongeveer 82 x 60 cm; al wijkt het formaat in sommige gevallen af)<\/p>\n<h4>Prijs<\/h4>\n<p>Deze kaart kost \u20ac23 afgedrukt en \u20ac45 digitaal.<\/p>\n<p>Plastificeren is mogelijk op aanvraag en kost een bijkomende \u20ac7 (glanzend\/glanzend), \u20ac13 (glanzend\/mat) of \u20ac18 (mat\/mat).<\/p>\n<p>De kaart kan opgehaald worden in onze winkel in Brussel of kan verstuurd worden via bpost. In het geval van verzending worden er verzendkosten van \u20ac11 aangerekend om uw kaart via Track &amp; Trace tot bij u te brengen.<\/p>\n<div class=\"table-wrapper\"><table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td
